Videoconferencing on the practical aspects of the single register, as part of the targeted social program “Bolsa Familia”

As part of the partnership and exchange of experiences between the two countries, and on the proposal of the Ministry of Social Development of the Federative Republic of Brazil, a meeting on the practical aspects of the single register, part of the “Family Allowance” targeted social program, was held by videoconference on Thursday, April 19, 2018.
This meeting was attended by Central Executives from the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women Condition, the central executives of the National Agency for Management Microcredit and the Agency of Social Development, the representative of the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Algeria and a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This meeting focused on two themes:
- The single register: The points addressed are the following:
Objectives of the program, the registration process, insertion of data, detailed information, management of the database, data processing, communication with the populations, and finally the management and the implementation of the program.
- The "Bolsa Familia" program, which dealt with the following issues:
The design and implementation of the Bolsa Familia program, the conditions of use of this program, the additional procedures, the procedures for selecting families eligible for the program, the management of family grants, the updating of the single register, and finally the payment procedures.
At the end of this meeting, the participants commended the Brazilian experience in this field, and in order to enrich this theme in more depth, they expressed the wish to organize other meetings in the near future.
