ANGEM launches the challenge “1000 women – 1000 projects”

Under the patronage of Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Bendjemil Souad, Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit, officially launched the “ANGEM: 1000 Women – 1000 Projects” challenge.

The launch ceremony was attended by Dalila Beljoudi, representing the President of the Council of the Nation; Nassima Rachdi, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises; Rahmani Nedjma, Inspector General of Forests; Lahlouh Samah, CEO of the GIPLAIT Group; Abdoun Elias, CEO of the Business Accelerator; Bilal Achacha, CEO of the National Entrepreneurship Support And Development Agency, along with a large gathering of women entrepreneurs and project leaders. The event took place at the Bastion 23 Cultural and Artistic Center Algiers.

This initiative is part of the national strategy aimed at strengthening the economic empowerment of women and fostering female entrepreneurship, by supporting and financing more than 1,000 women nationwide. The program seeks to transform innovative ideas into productive, sustainable projects capable of generating wealth and creating employment opportunities.

The meeting also served as a platform to present the project’s objectives, implementation methods, and strategic priorities, particularly in the areas of fruit and vegetable processing, canning and drying, the valorization of local resources, and food packaging. All of these elements contribute to economic and social development

In this framework, the director of the “Power House” establishment delivered a presentation highlighting the importance of technical and vocational training in the fields of canning, drying, and packaging. He emphasized the contribution of these skills in improving product quality, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring the sustainability of women-led projects.

On this occasion, a video presentation was screened, showcasing the various canning and drying machines and illustrating the different technical stages of the production process. At the same time, an awareness-raising workshop was organized for 60 women, with the objective of strengthening their capacities and providing them with practical support to develop successful and scalable projects.

At the end of this meeting, the CEO of ANGEM expressed her sincere appreciation to all participating women for the initiative and ambition they demonstrated, stressing that the Agency’s doors will remain open to women carrying ideas and projects, with the shared goal of contributing to the construction of a diversified and strong national economy.

She also extended her gratitude to the partners, supervisors, and media representatives for their commitment and the role they play in supporting and promoting this national challenge.
