ANGEM Strengthens Its Commitment to Green Entrepreneurship and Youth-Led Environmental Initiatives

Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, alongside Mr. Mustapha Haidaoui, Minister of Youth, and Ms. Kaoutar Krikou, Minister of the Environment and Quality of Life, presided over an information day held under the theme “Youth and Environmental Investment.” The event was organized by the Ministry of the Environment at the Higher School of Public Works Management in Sidi Abdellah, Algiers.

On the sidelines of the event, Ms. Souade Bendjemil, Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit (ANGEM), highlighted the agency’s various support and financing programs dedicated to young entrepreneurs, particularly those developing projects within the green economy sector.

On this occasion, a framework agreement was signed between ANGEM and the National Institute for Environmental Training, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the fields of environmental training, guidance, and project support.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of financing certificates to several young entrepreneurs active in waste collection and transportation activities, as part of ongoing efforts to encourage environmental investment and promote sustainable development initiatives.

Furthermore, a tricycle vehicle specially designed for recyclable waste collection was granted to one of the microcredit beneficiaries, reflecting ANGEM’s commitment to supporting eco-friendly projects and advancing the green economy.
