ANGEM takes part at the information day on the creativity of rural women in promoting the circular economy

As part of the celebration of the International Day of Rural Women, the Minister of Environment and Quality of Life, Ms. Kaoutar KRIKOU, along with the wali of the of Tipaza, Mr. Ali MOULAY, supervised the work of information day on the creativity of rural women in the promotion of  the circular economy.

This event was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit, the CEO of the National Conservatory of Environmental Training, the president of the People’s Assembly of the wilaya, parliamentarians, military and local authorities, as well as experts and specialists in environmental matters, held at the House of the Environment of Tipaza.

During this meeting, the CEO of ANGEM delivered a speech emphasizing the crucial role of rural women, who serve as a fundamental pillar for the development of their local communities and national food security, through their daily contributions in various sectors, including agriculture, livestock farming, traditional industries, crafts, and other production and service activities.

She also emphasized the Agency’s commitment to supporting rural women by offering them the social and economic resources to enter the entrepreneurial landscape.

Furthermore, she presented a summary of the Agency’s main achievements in favor of this segment of the population.

On the sidelines of this event, certificates were given to rural women beneficiaries of microcredit, and an exhibition was organized, showcasing some of the women beneficiaries of the microcredit program, working in various fields such as the extraction of essential oils, traditional cooking, the making of natural soap, leather crafting and other activities.
