ANGEM takes part in a major international event

The CEO of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit, Ms. Souade Bendjemil, took part in the official ceremony marking Algeria’s accession to the global WorldSkills organization. This strategic step illustrates the Algerian government’s commitment to strengthening the vocational training system and promoting skills development in line with international standards.

Held under the supervision of Ms. Arhab Nacima, Minister of Vocational Training and Education, the ceremony took place at the National Institute of Vocational Training and Education in Algiers. It was attended by Mr. Ouadah Noureddine, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Yacine Oualid, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, along with senior government officials and members of the diplomatic corps.

This accession reflects Algeria’s determination to enhance youth employability, foster entrepreneurship, and expand opportunities for international cooperation, thereby contributing to the dynamism of the national economy and reinforcing the foundations of sustainable development.

It also highlights the importance of support mechanisms, such as the microcredit program, in supporting project holders, especially young people and women, in order to promote their economic inclusion and empowerment.
