On June 3, 2026, in Algiers, Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-Enterprises, officially launched the Green Growth and Job Accelerator Programme (GGJAP). The ceremony was attended by Ms. Souade Bendjemil, CEO of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit (ANGEM), Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Algeria, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Algeria, and representatives of several partner institutions.

The programme seeks to foster green entrepreneurship by supporting the development of innovative businesses and projects with a strong positive environmental impact. It provides a range of training, mentoring, and capacity-building initiatives designed to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and empower project holders.

As part of this initiative, ANGEM took part in the Training of Trainers programme through the participation of several of its managers. This initiative will enhance their capacity to support micro-enterprises operating in the green economy, strengthen monitoring and impact assessment tools for green projects, and contribute to advancing sustainable economic development while promoting environmentally responsible entrepreneurship.
