A workshop on promoting entrepreneurship and startups in the fishing and aquaculture sectors was held on Saturday, November the 8th , 2025, at the Oran Conference Center.
This workshop, structured around four thematic panels, was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-Enterprises (MECSME), the Algerian Chamber of Fisheries and Aquaculture (CAPA), and the Blue Economy Program (PEB).
The main objective of this workshop is to promote entrepreneurial initiatives and foster investments in strategic sectors of the blue economy in Algeria.
It also aims to showcase the economic opportunities offered by these sectors, while providing support to project leaders and startups so help them create and develop innovative and sustainable businesses.
Furthermore, this workshop seeks to enhance the skills of participants through presentations tailored to the specific technical, economic and financial aspects of fishing and aquaculture.
The CEO of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit took part in the first panel on “Entrepreneurship and financing mechanisms for micro-enterprises in the fields of fishing and aquaculture and the different value chains”, alongside representatives from the economy of knowledge start-ups, and micro-enterprises, and the fishing and aquaculture sectors.
This conference aims to promote the various support and financing mechanisms available for micro-enterprises in the fishing and aquaculture sectors.
