ANGEM took part in the first edition of the National Self-Entrepreneurship Exhibition, held under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and organized under the supervision of the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises. The event took place on May 10–11, 2025, at the Moufdi Zakaria Palace of Culture in Algiers.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Nouredine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, in the presence of Mr. Yacine El Mehdi Oualid, Minister of Vocational Training and Education; Mr. Fayçal Bentaleb, Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security; Mr. Mustapha Hidaoui, Minister of Youth in charge of the High Council for Youth; and Ms. Souade Bendjemil, CEO of ANGEM. Several senior officials from the supervising ministry and representatives of economic partners were also in attendance.

During the event, the Minister delivered a detailed presentation of the activities carried out by the National Self-Entrepreneurship Agency and discussed future prospects for this vital initiative. Special emphasis was placed on the role of microcredit in supporting self-entrepreneurs, particularly through programs targeting the circular economy—such as plastic waste collection, preliminary sorting, and post-consumer waste treatment—along with training and support services. This strategy represents a forward-looking step toward strengthening local economic integration and building a sustainable, circular economy.

ANGEM’s participation featured an informational booth dedicated to presenting the microcredit scheme and its services. The booth attracted significant attention, especially from young people, who showed great interest in the agency’s support and guidance opportunities.

The exhibition also hosted thematic meetings and training workshops led by experts and specialists in the field of self-entrepreneurship, making it a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing and promoting entrepreneurial initiative.
