ANGEM’s General Director takes part in the scientific forum on plastic pollution and the challenges of environmental systems

The General Director of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit, Ms. Souade Bendjemil, participated in the scientific forum on: plastic pollution and the challenges of environmental systems: ” environmental stakes and societal practices” organized by the National Institute for Global Strategy Studies and was attended by a group of researchers, environmental stakeholders and representatives of several national institutions.

During this meeting, the General Director highlighted in her address the Agency’s primary commitment to ecological projects and economic initiatives with an environmental dimension.

She also showcased the Agency’s experience in promoting environmental entrepreneurship, especially by supporting plastic recycling and waste recovery projects, highlighting the Agency’s program to finance 1,000 green microcredits, aimed at generating new employment opportunities.

Ms. Souade Bendjemil stressed the importance of intensifying the efforts of various stakeholders to address plastic pollution, calling for the promotion of environmental culture within society and the adoption of responsible and sustainable consumption behaviors.

This meeting was enhanced by the presence of eminent university professors, emeritus researchers, and association presidents, as well as other key figures in the domain.

At the end of this forum, a dynamic exchange took place between the speakers and the participants regarding environmental issues, an opportunity for the General Director of ANGEM to reiterate the agency’s unwavering commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at environmental protection.

She also stressed that the fight against plastic pollution was a shared responsibility, involving every Algerian citizen.
