CEO of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit, Ms. Souade Bendjemil, took part on April 29, 2025, in the celebration of the connection of 2 million Algerian households to the “Fiber to the Home” (FTTH) fiber optic network, marking the 22nd anniversary of the creation of Algeria Telecom.
The event, which was held at the “El Aurassi” Hotel, took place under the supervision of the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki.
Several members of the government took part in this event, including Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Yacine Oualid, Minister of Training and Vocational Education, and the High Commissioner for Digitization with the rank of minister, Mrs. Meriem Benmouloud, as well as a number of senior officials and representatives of national institutions, headed by Mr. Adel Ben Toumi, CEO of Algérie Télécom.
On this occasion, a cooperation and partnership agreement was signed between ANGEM and Algeria Telecom, aimed at supporting joint initiatives in the field of skills development related to modern technologies and information and communication technologies, and promoting digital services for micro-project leaders.
Ms. Souade Bendjemil, CEO of ANGEM, and Mr. Adel Ben Toumi, CEO of Algérie Télécom, as part of a strategic approach aimed at promoting the digital economy and enabling project leaders to take advantage of technology to develop their activities, signed the agreement.
