ANGEM contributes to the organization of the African Start-up Conference

At the request of the Ministry, Ms. Souade Bendjemil, CEO of ANGEM, supervised, along with 200 executives from the agency, the organization of the African Start-up Conference, which was scheduled from 5 to 7 December 2024 in Algiers, and hosted African ministers, experts and foreign investors.

The supervision was conducted in line with the preparatory measures for the official launch of this conference with tasks allocated among the agency’s employees as per the ANGEM CEO in order to ensure the smooth and optimal running of the event, at Houari Boumediene International Airport, hotels, and the International Conference Center, which hosted the event.

At the international airport level, the agency has mobilized all resources in collaboration with the security authorities and public institutions to welcome official delegations of African ministers, experts and foreign investors from different countries in the airport’s VIP lounge and   facilitate their transportation to hotels during their stay until their departure from the country.

At the hotel level, the agency has also mobilized its staff to provide good reception and guidance to foreign delegations, while providing all necessary capabilities at their disposal and requirements to ensure good hospitality.

At the International Conference Center, and in coordination with various ministerial entities and the National Entrepreneurship Support and Development Agency, the Agency also mobilized human and material resources for the guidance and counseling process in order to facilitate movement through various facilities, including workshop halls, meeting rooms, exhibition halls, and dining halls, thereby ensuring a swift and effective participation according to the rich and scheduled program for the conference over three days.

On the sidelines of the event, a institutional booth was established for the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit, led by the Communication Cell staff, to provide essential information and introduce the services of the Microcredit program to foreign delegations, visitors and students.

At the end of this event, the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises Mr. Noureddine OUADAH paid tribute to ANGEM’s employees for their efforts, he then addressed his thanks to the ANGEM CEO in view of the exceptional work accomplished to make this continental event a success.
