Within the framework of promoting the formal economy and attaining broad and inclusive social protection, the General Union of Algerian workers, in coordination with the International Labor Office, organized an open day, “Tawdjih Day”, under the theme “Secure yourself socially, and peace of mind is truly found”, the event was held at the headquarters of the General Union of Algerian workers in Algiers.
Many officials took part in this event such as, the secretary general of the general union of Algerian workers, Mr. Amar Takjet, Mr. Louati Tayeb, advisor to the General Union of Algerian workers, Mr. Djemaa Youcef, secretary of the National Federation of Social Security workers, Mrs. Souade BENDJEMIL, the General Director of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit, Mr. YAZID ALAOUAT, the General Director of the Transport Mutual, Dr Akif Nora, professor of occupational medicine and general secretary responsible for the department of occupational health and the condition of the working woman, as well as Mrs. NACIF HAMAMA, representative of the Ministry of Training and Professional Education.
During this meeting, the General Director of ANGEM delivered a comprehensive presentation on the agency, its missions, as well as its objectives and services.
Ms. Souade Bendjemil further emphasized the significant role of microcredit in job creation, providing specific examples of successful micro-projects that have contributed to the development of the local economy.
A documentary film was subsequently screened, showcasing ANGEM’s role in promoting micro-projects.
ANGEM took part in this event with an institutional booth dedicated to providing information on the microcredit program, its financing options, and the services offered by the agency.
This meeting aimed to highlight the significance of the transition from the informal economy to a regulated economic system that ensures dignity, rights and safety at work.
