Visit of ANGEM’s CEO to the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou for the opening of the local micro-activity exhibition

On February 19, 2025 the CEO of the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit, Ms. Souade Bendjemil, inaugurated a local micro-activity exhibition at the “Mouloud Mammeri Cultural Center” in Tizi Ouzou, under the theme “Microcredit, an opportunity to promote the local and national economy”

During her visit, the CEO toured the exhibition booths, where she met with the beneficiaries of the microcredit program who had created their business in various sectors such as crafts, small industry, agriculture, trade and services. She attentively listened to their concerns and encouraged them to persevere reaffirming the agency’s support for them.

Following this, the national anthem was played and a minute of silence was observed in memory of the martyrs. The CEO then delivered an opening address, in which she highlighted the importance of this exhibition as an economic event that is part of the non-financial services provided by the agency, she underscored the crucial role of small projects in enhancing the local economy and promoting sustainable development.

The CEO emphasized the significance of microcredits in fostering local investment, encouraging entrepreneurship, and stimulating economic growth, stressing  that the agency’s responsibilities extend beyond mere financing, it also involves assisting project leaders and enhancing their economic capabilities through training, guidance, and ongoing  support.

In this regard, the CEO discussed the recommendations put forth by the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, which call for making 2025 a digital and economic year, stressing that the agency is progressively advancing towards digitalization and the implementation of modern technological solutions to beneficiaries.

 

As part of the shift towards digital marketing, the CEO stressed that online marketing has become one of the new services that the agency is will provide to its beneficiaries, in order to enable them to market their products across the country’s various wilayas, or even to export them abroad, calling for taking advantage of these opportunities to strengthen the presence of Algerian projects on both local and international markets.

In addition, a documentary film was screened during this event on the microcredit program and the services provided by the agency, followed by the signing of an agreement between the Tizi Ouzou local agency and the technological institute specializing in training in mountain agriculture, with a view to strengthening training and support in the professional and agricultural fields.

At the end of this event, a group photo was taken with the participants and the exhibitors, before the CEO continued her visit to the headquarters of ANGEM in Tizi Ouzou, where she reviewed the state of progress of the work and insisted on the importance of improving the services given to the beneficiaries.
